Osseo Beats Maple Grove for Trip to Section Championships

The Orioles beat the Crimson 67-59 in the boys basketball Section 5AAAA semifinal game Tuesday.

The #4 seed boys basketball team battled against #1 seed Tuesday for the chance to move onto the Section 5AAAA championship game.

In the end, the Orioles secured the 67-59 victory over the Crimson in the section semifinal game and a chance to move one step closer to a state run.

Osseo’s Bridge Tusler (#50) hit 29 points for the Orioles, followed by Ian Theisen (#45) with 15 points and Will Johnson (#30) with 11 points. High scorers for Maple Grove were Jake Wieneke (#25) with 12 points and Brycen Wojta (#15) with 10 points.

Osseo Senior High will take on #3 seed Champlin Park High School 7 p.m. Friday, March 16 at Rogers High School.
