Osseo Defeats Duluth to Advance to State Class AAAA Semifinals
The Osseo Senior High School boys basketball team beat Duluth East High School 62-51 during Minnesota State Class AAAA Quarterfinal game
A 62-51 win for the against Duluth East High School Wednesday advances the Orioles in the 2012 Minnesota State Class AAAA boys basketball tournament.
The #4 seed Orioles next will take on #1 seed Hopkins High School at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 22 at the Target Center.
During Wednesday’s quarterfinal game, Osseo trailed with a six-point deficit at halftime to defeat Duluth, according to the Howard Voight with the Minnesota State High School League. About three minutes into the second half, the Oriole gained the lead and stayed up over Duluth for the rest of the game and outscoring Duluth 39-24 in the second half. The Orioles knocked the unseeded Greyhounds out of the state play with the 62-51 win.

Top scorers for the team were DJ Hebert leading with 18 points, Ian Theisen and Bridge Tusler each with 11 points and Michael Brush with seven points for the Orioles.
