Osseo Football Falls To Wayzata In Section Championship

The Orioles lost 30-7 to the unbeaten Trojans, who are headed to state

The Osseo football team finished its season on Friday in the Section 5AAAAAA championship game, losing to Wayzata 30-7.

The Orioles led the unbeaten Trojans 7-0 after the first quarter, but the final three quarters belonged to Wayzata.

Osseo (9-2) got on the board first with an 80-yard punt return by Bridgeport Tusler, but it was the only score the Orioles could muster. The Trojans’ defense was too stout, surrendering no points on the night while giving its high-powered offense more than enough time to score.

After Martin passed for his third touchdown strike of the night—a 26-yard pass to Borchardt—and the Trojans took a 23-7 lead into halftime.
