Osseo School District Accepts $3.4 Million Offer to Purchase Maple Grove Land
The 30.36-acre piece of land purchased 10 years ago was originally geared to be a new elementary school site.

An offer to purchase a 30.36-acre piece of Maple Grove land was accepted by the School Board Sept. 20.
The area of land owed by the school district, described as the “Bather Property,” is located along County Road 101 and Bass Lake Road. According to the School Board resolution, the tract of land outlined in the purchase agreement would sell for $3.4 million to Estate Development Corporation.
The land was purchased 10 years from the Bather family, District 279 Assistant Superintendent Kim Riesgraf said at the school board meeting. The area was originally purchased for a potential elementary school site. Within the past 10 years, the residential and enrollment numbers has stabilized in the area, according to Reisgraf.
