Osseo Upsets Hopkins to Advance to Minnesota State Class 4A Championship Game
The #4 Orioles boys basketball team beat the #1 Royals in triple overtime to win 87-86.
In close game that went into triple overtime, the boys basketball team won over Hopkins High School 87-86 in the Minnesota State Class AAAA semifinal game Thursday.
Osseo guard Bridge Tusler tied it up at the end of regulation with a layup that left the score 64-64. The teams didn’t add any points to the scoreboard during the first overtime.
Osseo appeared set to win it at the end of second overtime, but Hopkins guard Jacob Wright hit a three-pointer to tie the game as the clock expired. The Royals couldn’t hang on, though, and Osseo pulled away in the third overtime.

Osseo will play against either #2 seed Lakeville North High School 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Target Center.
