Thousands of people turned out for the Autumn Woods Classic on Saturday at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove.
When the runners lined up to start the 5K race at , it was already 70 degrees, about 25 degrees hotter than runners prefer. However, the unusually warm day didn't stop hundreds of people from participating in the 1K, 5K or 10K Autumn Woods Classic race the morning of Saturday Oct. 8. Hundreds more were there to cheer on their favorite runner. The Park was full of athletes, spectators and children enjoying a few games.
