The afternoon of May 17, sixth graders at in Maple Grove were recognized for their work with the D.A.R.E. program during at the D.A.R.E. culmination ceremony. D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives, <a href="http://www.dare.com/home/about_dare.asp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the D.A.R.E. website</a>.
