Photos: Osseo Wins State Class 4A Championship Over Lakeville North

The boys basketball team earned their first state victory in more than 10 years with a win over Lakeville North High School Saturday night.

The 49-47 win for the Orioles came with a last second shot by sophomore Ian Theisen.

Osseo ended the first half with a 23-16 lead over Lakeville North. It was a lead the quickly disappeared for the Orioles as Lakeville North made a run for the title, bringing it to a tie game.

With less than five seconds left in the game, Osseo came in off of a timeout which resulted in Ian Theisen scoring the game winning point to win the 2012 Class 4A boys basketball state title.

The Orioles advanced to the state championship game Saturday at the Target Center after , Hopkins High School, in triple overtime Thursday evening.
