Powerball Jackpot Ticket For Sept. 23, 2017: Winning Numbers

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — There were no winners for the Wednesday, Sept. 20 Powerball jackpot, so the estimated winnings for the Saturday, Sept. 23 drawing have increased to $53 million, with a $33.7 million cash value. The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Sept. 20 drawing are: 39 - 48 - 53 - 67 - 68 with a red Powerball number of 26. Last week: A ticket sold in Colorado won the Sept. 16 $133.2 million Powerball jackpot ($84.6 million cash value). The winning numbers were 17-18-24-25-31 with a Powerball number of 24.

The winning numbers for Saturday, Sept. 23 are: 24-45-55-56-57 with a red Powerball number of 19

Two tickets sold in Idaho and Oregon won $2 million, while tickets purchased in Arizona, California, Illinois, Montana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania won $1 million. The Powerball jackpot has been reset to $40 million for the Wednesday, Sept. 20 drawing, with a $25.4 million cash value.

Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. central time. If you go to bed before then, check back here in the morning, where will provide you with the winning numbers. The record in the Powerball jackpot was a $1.6 billion drawing in January 2016, which was won by a couple from Tennessee.

$1 Million Winning Ticket Sold in Minnesota in August

A $1 million winning ticket was sold in Howard Lake, Minnesota. The jackpot run lasted for 21 drawings and ended with a $758.7 million winning ticket sold in Massachusetts, which is the largest grand prize ever won on a single ticket in the United States, according to a news release.

The winning Powerball numbers for Aug. 23, 2017 were 6-7-16-23-26 and Powerball 4. The Power Play multiplier was 4.

Jackpot run (June 14, 2017 – Aug. 23, 2017):

• During this jackpot run, 511,867 winning tickets sold in Minnesota won $4,084,276
• Powerball sales of $24.5 million from the 21-draw run generated $9.4 million for Minnesota’s environment and State programs:
  • $3.1 million for the Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund
  • $577,686 for the Game & Fish Fund
  • $577,686 for the Natural Resources Fund
  • $5.1 million for the General Fund, which supports state programs including education, public safety and health & human services.
