As a contributor to Psxextreme.com I found myself in an interesting position last week. On Friday the editor had to travel and so could not update the site at all.
He messaged the contributors, there was once 5 of us, to ask if we could try to pick up the slack. The thing is, I'm the only one still contributing. The others never post anything. So I knew it was my moment to shine. I took over the site lock, stock, and barrel and did all the news, behind the scenes stuff, and social media promotion for 3 days.
It was hard work, but fun too. I enjoyed having that great community count on me and some people expressed their thank you when my brief term ended.
I may be handling the Week in Review in future days and I feel like I've proved useful. Just need someone to take a real gamble on me.
