St. Thomas Student Died Of Natural Causes, Obituary Says
The 19-year-old from Andover was found unresponsive in her bed Sunday morning.
ANDOVER, MN — The family of a University of St. Thomas sophomore say she passed away from natural causes in her sleep last week. Katherine "Katie" Ann Mullen was found unresponsive in her bed Sunday morning. She was later pronounced dead.
The Andover High School graduate "brought tremendous joy and laughter to her family and to the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her," her obituary reads.
"She adored children and hoped to pursue a career related to their care and fostering of their growth and education."

The official cause of death for Mullen will be released by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
Saint Paul police said Sunday they do not believe that alcohol and drugs were factors, KARE 11 reported.

Mullen, a dean's list student and "cherished" friend, worked in Academic Counseling and Support, the university said. "She will be deeply missed."
A visitation for Mullen will be helped from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Church of the Epiphany.
