This Week at Town Green in Maple Grove
The "Sounds of Summer" performances continue at Town Green in Maple Grove. Tangle Roots, 1st Things 1st, Mike Mann and special events including the Crimson Music Fest take stage Aug. 8 through Aug. 13, 2011.
Throughout the summer, the city of Maple Grove hosts multiple free events at , located at 7991 Main St. N. For the week of Aug. 8 to Aug. 13 the following performances are scheduled:
- Monday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. – Bluegrass music with Tangled Roots
- Wednesday, Aug.10 at 7 p.m. – Classic swing with 1st Things 1st
- Thursday, Aug.11 at 11 a.m. – Storyteller Mike Mann
- Friday, Aug. 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Teen Battle of the Bands
- Saturday, Aug. 13 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Crimson Music Fest
Consider bringing a lawn chair or blanket for performances, although there is a terraced wall seating for 300 in the band shell area. Free parking is available and events are subject to change. Concessions are sold during the performance times; picnic, cooler or takeout containers are welcome.
