Trail Resurfacing at Elm Creek Park Reserve

The northern loop of paved trail undergoes an update at the Three Rivers Park in Maple Grove.

Among the miles of trails available to the public at in Maple Grove, one trail loop is getting an upgrade.

Work on resurfacing the northern loop of the paved trail system at the busy park is expected to continue until the completion date of Aug. 11, 2011, according to Three Rivers Park District. The area impacted is between Hayden Lake Road and the west side of Goose Lake.

During the trail resurfacing, the paved trail segment is closed temporarily. Signs are in place to alert visitors and the turf trails remain open.

The resurfacing includes an application of asphalt slurry, according to a Three Rivers Park District news release, which is expected to “improve the surface ride quality and prolong the service life of the trail.”

The trail resurfacing, which started Aug. 1, is the last resurfacing for the northern loop paved trail.
