Candidate filings will be accepted until Aug. 16.
Do you want to run for public office?
The city of Maple Grove has two city council member seats that expire on Dec. 31, 2016. For residents who would like to file for city office, candidate filings will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Aug. 16.
Filing packets are available at City Hall, located at 12800 Arbor Lakes Parkway N.

- Term: Four Years
- Filing Fee: $5

- Candidate filing closes August 16 at 5 p.m.
- Withdrawal deadline is August 18 at 5 p.m.
- Terms begin January 2, 2017
Eligibility to Hold Office
- Candidate must be an eligible voter
- Is, or will be on assuming office, 21 years of age or more
- Maintained residence in the district wherein they reside 30 days previous to the election
