Throughout each month, students from MTS Minnesota Connections Academy, a tuition-free K-12 online public school, have the opportunity to attend a variety of field trips and community activities happening around the state. The events offer students the chance to come together, support the principles and theories presented in the students’ lessons, and socialize with other Connections Academy students and family members.
This month, the faculty themselves enjoyed a team building event at WhirlyBall Twin Cities in Maple Grove. "It was great to come together and do something fun outside the office, similar to what we do with students and their families," said Brandi Curran, Special Education Teacher.
Currently, more than 1,700 students are served by 52 full-time faculty members, including state-certified teachers, school guidance counselors, special education professionals, and administrative staff. Connections Academy offers a variety of in-person and online information sessions. For dates and times, visit www.connectionsacademy.com/minnesota.
