MAPLE GROVE, MN — A murder charge has been filed after police found a dead body at a residence in Maple Grove last week. Stephanie Louise Clark is accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend at an apartment building Thursday, according to a news report.

As Patch previously reported, on March 5 just after 6 p.m., Maple Grove officers responded to a building on the 6200 block of Magda Drive on the report of someone unconscious.

At the scene, police learned that a "domestic disturbance" occurred, and officers found a body.

According to FOX 9, one witness told officers about hearing loud bangs before Clark, while with her 5-year-old son, cried "he’s dead," and "I shot him because he hit me," according to police.

Clark now faces a second-degree murder charge.
