• Crowning MHS royalty (marshallindependent.com) — Marshall High School kicked off homecoming week with a lively Monday assembly where students crowned their new king, queen, prince, and princess. Local teens like Kael Frana, Anna Thor, Cannon Craigmile, and Laurel Ryks took center stage as classmates celebrated the start of a week of Tiger spirit and activities.
• No. 2 Wildcats open three-match NSIC road swing at No. 11 SMSU (siouxcityjournal.com) — A top-11 volleyball showdown is coming to Marshall as No. 2 Wayne State visits No. 11 Southwest Minnesota State for an NSIC clash Tuesday at 6 p.m. Local fans can catch a high-level matchup at SMSU before the Wildcats continue their road swing to Northern State and Jamestown later in the week.
• Lyon Co. pursuit ends with New Ulm arrest (nujournal.com) — Law enforcement in Lyon County pursued a suspect Friday after a deputy tried to stop a Jeep Gladiator near Marshall on Highway 23, eventually ending with an arrest in New Ulm that evening. Agencies from multiple counties joined the search, detained a female passenger near Seaforth, and continue to investigate the case.
