Minnesota Knitting Mills, Inc. (MKM) has announced the following organizational changes and promotions.
Amanda Week, of Chaska, MN, has joined the company full time in a newly created position of Business Process Manager. Amanda has her B.A. in Management with a Minor in Computer Information Systems from the College of Saint Scholastica, Duluth, MN and her Master’s Certificate in Business Process Analysis from Watermark Learning, an extension of Auburn University, Auburn, AL.
Prior to coming to MKM, Weeks has held a variety of management roles in both business and financial operations analysis including both Lifetouch National School Studios, Eden Prairie, MN
and US Bancorp, St Paul, MN.
In her new role, she will be responsible for redefining old, and creating new, processes that will encompass all facets of MKM’s functional areas. Reporting to Weeks will be Nancy Roland, Dye Processing/Color Coordinator and Rochelle Walker, Customer Care Coordinator. Weeks will report directly to Patrick M. Hickey, President.
Jana Hart, of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Accounting Specialist, has been promoted to Office Manager/Staff Accountant where she will be responsible for the day-to-day office operations as well as selected accounting functions. Prior to MKM, Hart worked for her own family business. She has her Associates Degree in Office Administration from KRS Computer and Business School. She will continue to report to Diane Rogers, Head of Finance.
On the manufacturing side, Jose Luis Gallardo, of St. Paul, MN, is being promoted to Assistant Knitting Manager. In this role he will report to Jackie Bettger, Knitting Manager, and work directly with all knitters to enhance their learning, cross training and development while ensuring MKM continues to provide our customers with the best possible quality, turn time and innovative solutions.
Jose Luis has more than 30 years experience in the knitting industry. A native of Seville, Spain, Jose Luis was sworn in as a US Citizen in 2008 and has his degree as a Computer Technician from the Northwestern Electronics Institute.
To ensure focus on sales growth, the MKM sales staff of Bobbie Edelstein and Bill Steacker as well as our independent agents, Bill Schwarzschild in Pennsylvania and Henry Yeo in Singapore will report directly to Hickey.
Minnesota knitting Mills, Inc. is a fourth generation, 103-year-old company.
