Attempted Suicide On Rural MN Highway Leaves 1 Man Injured: MSP

Authorities say a man is alive after attempting to commit suicide on a rural Minnesota highway Sunday night.

CASS COUNTY, MN β€” Authorities say a man is alive after attempting to commit suicide on a rural Minnesota highway Sunday night. William Bradley Borchardt, 37, was driving a 2003 Ford F350 Super Duty that was pulling a trailer on eastbound Highway 200 at about 10 a.m. Sunday when the Ford crashed into a ditch.

Borchardt crashed in an attempt to commit suicide, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The crashed Ford was there throughout the night until a passerby stopped to check on the vehicle this morning, authorities say.

Borchardt suffered non-life threatening injuries and was hospitalized at Itasca Hospital. He is from Prior Lake, Minnesota.
