Soup’s on! Le Cordon Bleu Chefs and Students Support Boston Victims – One Bowl of Chowder at a Time

Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Mendota Heights is doing what it does best to support the people of Boston – cooking.

The tragic events at the Boston Marathon have left communities around the country looking for ways to support and comfort the people of Boston. Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts campuses are doing what they do best to show their support – cooking.

As part of the school’s nationwide “Soup in Support” initiative, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis/St. Paul will be making more than 15 gallons of chowder with a local twist, featuring Minnesota wild rice. This special chowder will be for sale this Friday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. at the  LCB campus in Mendota Heights. The campus’ sister schools, Sanford-Brown College in Mendota Heights and Brown College in Brooklyn Center, will also be selling the chowder this Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m.

Quarts of the homemade chowder will be available for $4 per cup or $10 for a pint. Community members will also have the option to donate a pint or quart to a family at a local Boston shelter. All proceeds will benefit One Fund Boston, which provides financial support for victims.
