Bull That Escaped From Fair Is Dead
The bull was euthanized Thursday after it escaped from a pen Wednesday at the Dakota County Fair.

When a bull escaped its pen at the Dakota County Fair, it injured eight people, including Dakota County Sheriff's Deputy Matthew Regis.
Regis fired at the bull twice after it rammed his leg, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.
One woman, Cottage Grove resident Barbara Goggins, was seriously injured in the incident. She is reportedly in satisfactory condition at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the paper.
The bull was part of the rodeo in the fair's grandstand, but it had already been ridden and was inside a gated area, according to Scott VanDerGeest, owner of Gold Medal Cattle Co. in Merrill, Wis., which leased the bull and others to Rice Bull Riding Co. for the rodeo. He was at the fair but did not see how it got loose.
VanDerGeest confirmed the bull was euthanized on Thursday.
