After trailing early, the St. Thomas Academy baseball team rallied to claim a 9-5 win over visiting cross-town rival Henry Sibley on a damp and cold Thursday evening in Mendota Heights.

The victory kept the Cadets in a tie for second place in the Classic Suburban Conference standings with a 9-4 circuit mark and improved the team to 10-5 overall. Up next for the Cadets is a home game against Richfield, with whom STA is tied for second in the conference standings. That game kicks off Monday at 4:15 p.m.

Sibley dropped to 2-13 overall this season and 1-13 in conference play. The Warriors are scheduled to host non-conference opponent Cloquet on Friday night.
