District 197 Narrows List Of Candidates For Top Job

The West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools (District 197) conducted interviews of the six final candidates for the job Tuesday.

Continuing its search for a new superintendent, the West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area Schools (District 197) conducted interviews of the six final candidates for the job Tuesday.

To inform the search, in January, the district held a series of community meetings and requested feedback from stakeholders through an online survey. The results were compiled into a Superintendent Profile which was used to narrow the pool of candidates for the first round of interviews.

The interviews Tuesday were held at Henry Sibley High School and included the following candidates:

  • Dr. Leadriane Roby, Assistant Superintendent, Richfield Public Schools
  • Robert Jon Peterson, Executive Director of College and Career Readiness and ALC, St. Paul Public Schools
  • Dr. Efe Agbamu, Assistant Superintendent, St. Paul Public Schools
  • Dr. Michael Redmond, Superintendent, Goodhue Public Schools
  • Ms. Barbara DuffrinExecutive Director of Educational Services, Farmington Public Schools
  • Mr. Peter Olson-Skog, Assistant Superintendent, Roseville Area Schools

The second round of interviews will be held at Henry Sibley High School on Feb. 22 and 23, and if needed, Feb. 27, according to a news release.

It is anticipated that 2-3 candidates will be selected for a second interview. A question and answer session for the community will be held with each candidate at 5 p.m. on each second interview day.
