"This is something I just love to do," she said. "I love making people feel good about themselves, and that's our mission here."

Born and raised in Vietnam, Dang came to the U.S. when she was 15, moving to Rosemount. After graduating from high school there, she attended Inver Hills Community College and then went into sales and marketing, a profession she pursued for 15 years.

Along the way, she became a certified nail technician, and recently, decided to open her own nail spa in Mendota Heights, since it's an area she's always loved. "This is a wonderful community, so I was happy to be able to come to the area," she said. "I've wanted to be here for a long time."

Since her two sisters are also certified nail technicians looking for work, she hired them, as well as two cousins. The family atmosphere works well, Dang said, and gives the salon a fun, friendly vibe.

"Everything here is just happy, happy, and happy," she said with a laugh. "It's been amazing, and we're getting so much support from the neighborhood. I couldn't ask for a better experience."
