Educators' Preview: 'Discover the Real George Washington'

Educators are invited to a free preview of the new exhibit, "Discover the Real George Washington: New Views from Mount Vernon,"  at the History Center. Be among the first to see this remarkable exhibit featuring more than 100 artifacts from Washington's life. Take a guided tour of the exhibit and gain helpful hints on how to use the exhibit's 18th-century artifacts to enrich student learning on field trip and in the classroom. Participants can sample some of the History Lessons that can be part of the field trip experience, including three lessons that explore the stories of the Minnesota pioneers for whom Washington paved the way. They'll also receive a gift bag, examples of accompanying exhibit curriculum, a 10-percent discount in the Museum Stores and a chance to win prizes. Reservations are required and may be made online or by calling 651-259-3402.
