Visit North West Company Fur Post, where we’ll step back in time to a period in history where fur traders canoed Minnesota lakes and rivers; trapped beaver, muskrat, otter, and mink; and traded their pelts for wares at fur trading posts scattered throughout the north. We’ll visit an Ojibwe encampment and learn how seasonal living of the Ojibwe people changed as their world became inhabited with European settlers. Later, we’ll picnic and hike at nearby Banning State Park.
