A classic fairytale musical of a handsome but conceited prince who is turned into a beast. To break the spell, he needs to learn to love people for who they are. A beautiful young woman’s father ends up a prisoner at the beast's castle. She (Belle) eventually finds the castle and makes a deal with the beast to let her father go in return for her staying there with the beast. Meanwhile, a jilted suitor (Gaston) from Belle's village, tries to save her from the beast. As the beast's kindness slowly reveals itself, Belle begins to fall in love with him.
