If you live in Mendota Heights and have an opinion on flight noise, you'll probably want to attend this meeting.
If you live in Mendota Heights, chances are you have a strong opinion on airport noise. At its Nov. 15 meeting, the Mendota Heights City Council will hear a presentation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Metropolitan Airports Commission on what is termed Converging Runway Operations (CRO).
This is a relatively recent directive by the FAA which impacts the number of departures which take place from runways 30L and 35. This change in procedures has had a direct impact on the number of flights over Mendota Heights, according to a news release.
Interested residents are invited to attend. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights.
