Highway 110 Westbound Reopens With New Intersections

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation thanked motorists and residents for their patience during this closure.

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Good news, Dakota County; westbound Highway 110 officially re-opened to traffic at 5:10 p.m. Sunday night between Interstate 494 in Inver Grove Heights and Interstate 35E in Mendota Heights. Transit officials say the road, which has been closed since Aug. 6 of this year, is now a smoother, safer road with longer turn lanes and new "Reduced Conflict Intersections."

Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation thanked motorists and residents for their patience during this closure. Project work on Highway 110 will continue for the next couple of weeks with alternating lane closures in both directions, as median and shoulder work continues.

Note: The city of West St. Paul is continuing watermain installation on Charlton St. on the north side of Highway 110. Access to Charlton St. from Highway 110 will remain closed for approximately 6 more weeks, according to a news release.
