No. 9 Eagan Blanks Henry Sibley Boys Soccer

Ninth-ranked Eagan was too much for Henry Sibley soccer on a dark and stormy Monday at Heritage Middle School. The visiting Eagles walked away with a 3-0 non-conference boys soccer victory.

Junior attacker Juan Sjoberg gave Eagan a 1-0 lead with 3:51 to play in the first half.

Leading 1-0 at the break, the Eagles added two more goals after intermission.

Eagan improved to 9-2-2 on the season. Henry Sibley lost for just the third time in 11 games and stands 8-3.

The Wildcats returns to South Suburban Conference play Tuesday, hosting No. 7 Lakeville North (7-3-2) in a match starting at 5 p.m.

Henry Sibley plays a Classic Suburban Conference match at Inver Grove Heights Tuesday against Simley (6-3-2), ranked ninth in Class 1A.
