Patch Picks: Time for Cinco de Mayo!
If you are planning to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the Twin Cities biggest festival is close by-- so are several local dining options.
Cinco de Mayo on St. Paul's West Side
This popular event known as "Minnesota's Spiciest Celebration" continues to grow every year, drawing visitors from across the Twin Cities and beyond. On Friday, May 6 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be live music and dancing, a variety of authentic Mexican foods, specialty vendors and the Lowrider Car Show.
At 10 a.m. on Saturday, the colorful annual parade will begin at the corner of Plato and Wabasha featuring music, floats, clowns, dancers and other parade favorites. Enjoy music throughout the day at several stages, a jalapeno eating contest, the "People's Choice" salsa tasting contest, children's activities and more.
