Photo Gallery: Henry Sibley Track Competes In Section Championships

Henry Sibley High School shot-putter Ethan Knight qualified for the State Championships with a throw of 52 feet 9.5 inches at the Section 3AA Track and Field Championships this past Tuesday and Thursday.

The Warriors traveled to St. Thomas University for the competition, where the girls came in 14th place with six points and the boys placed 10th with 31 points. A total of 15 teams competed from all over the metro.

Top honors for the girls was Prior Lake with 129 points and the boys was Apple Valley with 107 points.

Here are some of the girls highlights:

• Caitlin Fermoyle placed 10th in the 3,200-meter run.
• Fifth place for the 4x100 meter relay team. Amanda Vilaysome, Emily Bohlig, Courtney Armbrost, and Valerie McCampbell.
• Seventh place for the 4x400 meter relay team. Sydney Latterell, Caitlin Fermoyle, Courtney Armbrost, Valerie McCampbell.
• 10th place for the 4x800 meter relay team. Sydney Latterell, Kirby Steffens, Cali Mogler, and Alicia Olsen.

Here are some other boys highlights:

• Ethan Knight placed third in the discus.
• Bobby Wills placed fifth in the 200-meter dash.
• Bryan Greengo placed fourth in 400-meter dash.
• Josh Wareham placed ninth in the 1600-meter run.
• Fourth place for the 4x400 meter relay team. Josh McHenry, Bryan Greengo, Josh Wareham, and Bobby Wills.
• Ninth place for the 4x800 meter relay team. Mark Dosh, Sam Meyer, PJ Gannon, and Will Larsen.
