Convent of the Visitation's FIRST Robotics Team 2177, the Robettes, qualified April 2 for national competition later this month. Visitation's three-team alliance, including teams from Washburn High School and Detroit Lakes High School,* survived in the final rounds of the North Star FIRST Robotics Regional competition to win it all. The Visitation team was also given the "Gracious Professionalism" award.

The Robettes have placed second in regional competition the past three years.
