St. Thomas Academy faces Richfield in Classic Suburban Conference home opener.

St. Thomas Academy Football Gameday

PLAYMAKERS
—Billy Mork (St. Thomas Academy – Defensive End)
Has seven tackles, one sack and a fumble recovery in the season opener
—John Gould (St. Thomas Academy – Quarterback)
Completed 10 of 12 passes for 126 and two touchdowns in starting debut. 
—Corban Halbur (Richfield – Quarterback)
Junior signal caller completed 11 of 21 passes for 135 yards and two passing touchdowns. He added two rushing scores in the season opening win.
—Devon Schilla-Robinson (Richfield – Running Back)
Junior rushed for 61 yards to lead the Spartans, who gained 150 yards as a team.

CADETS WIN IF...
They can get a balanced attack. The Cadets rushed for 199 yards and passed for 148 points in a 42-0 win over Smiley in the opener. 

SPARTANS WIN IF...
They can continue to get strong play from their defense. The Spartans recovered four fumbles in the season opener. Andrew Perlich, Robert Holloway, Jared Mullen and Andrew Allen made the big plays for Richfield. They won the season opener last season, but dropped their final eight games of the season.
