St. Thomas Academy Lacrosse Loses 11-4 to Hill Murray
The Cadets and Pioneers battled through sleet and snow Friday night.
The weather Friday afternoon was brisk but both St. Thomas Academy and Hill Murray lacrosse teams were ready to play. The game started close with Hill Murray scoring first and the Cadets answering back. It remained a back and forth battle throughout the first half with Hill Murray leading 4-3 at the break.
However, just as the weather turned for the worst, so did the game for St. Thomas Academy. The Pioneers piled on the goals in the third quarter to build an 8-3 lead going into the final quarter. Frustration overwhelmed the Cadets and they allowed even more goals in the fourth. Ethan Rasmussen was able to score one more time but it hardly took the bite out of the cold or the final 11-4 score.
The Cadets will next play host to Mahtomedi Tuesday April 19.
