Tampons Left At West St. Paul Mayor's Home After Gender Clash

West St. Paul Mayor Jenny Halverson also reported people ringing her doorbell before running away.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — West St. Paul Mayor Jenny Halverson says she was the target of harassment following a bitter debate involving gender issues at a recent city council meeting. According to Halverson — the first woman elected mayor of the city — someone delivered a box of tampons and tissues wrapped in bows "under the cover of night" at her home.

She also reported people ringing her doorbell before running away.
