students in kindergarten through ninth grade will be back in school Tuesday morning when the 2011-2012 school year begins.

Wednesday is the first day of school for district students in grades 10-12.

Teachers and staff throughout the district have been working the last few weeks to get ready for the start of school. Most teachers at were in their classrooms Friday getting everything ready—even though it was an official vacation day.

District schools also held informal "meet-and-greets" last week to let students and their families meet their teachers and see their classrooms and schools.
