Viewfinder: Summer Fun for Young Mendota Heights Baseball and Softball Players

As they say in the movie "Bull Durham":

"It's a simple game. You throw the ball. You hit the ball. You catch the ball."

But it's not all that simple when you're first starting out, as many young players in the Mendota Heights Athletic Association might agree.

Teams seeing action Wednesday night included the Screaming Orange Crush and Green Beans girls softball teams, as well as the Yankees and Orioles boys baseball teams.

The MHAA baseball and softball teams got in some action at Wednesday night in prepation for the 2011 Super Weekend baseball, sotball and T-ball tournaments. The tournaments will be held Friday through Sunday, July 15-17, at the Mendakota Complex.
