ON THE LINE
The Blazers won the Section 4A championship to advance to the state meet this weekend. Visitation won its seventh straight True Team Section 4A championship last month and finished second in the True Team State meet behind Hutchinson, who was also 2010 Class A state champion. The Blazers finished seventh in the Class A state tournament after winning the state title in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Megan Gaylord - Visitation
The senior won the 100 breaststroke in the section meet and was part of the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams that also finished first. The 200 freestyle relay set a section record. She was third in the 200 IM. Gaylord has plenty of state meet experience— she finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 2010 Class A state tournament, helped lead the Blazers to a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle relay and finished ninth in the 200 yard individual medley.

Meg Foster – Visitation
The senior was second in the 200 IM and 100 yard butterfly and was a participant in the 400 free style relay team at the section meet last weekend. She was a member of the state tournament fourth-place 400 freestyle relay team, was tenth in the 200 yard individual medley and 100 yard butterfly last year.

Caroline Gaertner – Visitation
The freshman won the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke in the section meet. She was a member of the winning 400 freestyle relay team.
