Yes, I'm Running

I started this blog in October 2011, to add a responsible, conservative voice to a forum that lacked one. I hope my readers have enjoyed my writing, and hope that even if they do not agree, that they have found the discussions that I have prompted helpful. I certainly have.

Last week, I filed as a candidate for Minnesota House in district 52B. For the next 145 days I will be focused on winning election. I will not stop blogging, but the tone and frequency of my posts will change. You can keep up with my campaign at:

The Patch terms of service for bloggers frowns on using a blog to promote a particular cause or service. Patch sells advertising, and they clearly do not want blogging privileges to be a way for bloggers to advertise without paying.

My plan is to post a little less frequently, and to be careful to avoid posts that are explicitly promotional. I believe that Patch will not object to my continuing my posts on issues of public concern, public policy, and political ideology. I will, of course, continue to welcome comments, and will occasionally respond.
