1-2 Inches Of Snow Possible In Weekend Storm: MN Weather

TWIN CITIES, MN — A winter storm bringing between 1 and 2 inches of snow accumulation is possible for the Twin Cities metro area this weekend.

"Light snow is expected this weekend with accumulations generally around an inch or two by the time the snow ends Sunday," the National Weather Service said. "Slightly higher amounts are possible across central Minnesota & northwest Wisconsin."

The entire state should get at least a dusting, and likely a bit more.

Thursday: Cloudy, with a high near 28. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 34. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 28. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 34. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

Monday: A 20 percent chance of snow after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
