1 Shot Outside Minnesota State Fair Monday Night: Reports

The incident happened just days after another shooting, which happened inside the Minnesota State Fair's Midway area.​

ST. PAUL, MN — One person was reportedly shot just outside the gates of the Minnesota State Fair on Monday night. The shooting took place less than an hour before the fair would close for the year.

Officers responded to the shooting near Como Avenue and Snelling Avenue just after 8:30 p.m., the Star Tribune reported. The fair was set to close at 9 p.m.

At the scene, officers found an 18-year-old man who had been shot in the torso twice, according to KSTP. He was transported to Regions Hospital and is expected to survive.
