$6K Raised For Family Of Boy, 12, Shot And Killed During Hunting Trip

A fundraising page describes the child as a "happy boy who loved his family and friends."

ST. PAUL, MN — More than $6,000 has been raised for the family of a 12-year-old St. Paul boy who was shot and killed in what authorities are calling a hunting accident.

Jeremy Xasmusyees Her was shot Sunday morning by his uncle while they were hunting squirrels in Moose Lake Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The boy was taken by helicopter to Children's Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, where he died later that night. Her suffered a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Her was the middle child in his family. A GoFundMe page described him as a "happy boy who loved his family and friends" and was "willing to do anything to make them happy."
