Minnesota Gophers quarterback Drake Lindsey was booked early Friday morning in Arkansas on allegations of minor in possession of alcohol and possession of fraudulent identification, according to jail records.
Lindsey, 20, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was booked by Fayetteville police at 1:13 a.m. Friday and released at 8:28 a.m., records show.
The jail record lists three entries: minor in possession of alcohol, possession of fraudulent identification, and a Rule 8.1 hearing. Bond for the alcohol charge was listed at $470.
A Fayetteville District Court date for the alcohol charge is listed for June 29 at 8 a.m., according to the record.
"We are aware of the situation and will address it internally," a Gophers spokesperson told Sports Illustrated.
The booking comes as Lindsey is drawing early national attention ahead of the 2026 college football season.
He is expected to be Minnesota’s starting quarterback this fall after completing 63.2 percent of his passes for 2,382 yards, 22 total touchdowns, and six interceptions in his first season as a starter.
