Girl spends 11th birthday in hospital after being hit by car while delivering party invitations (kare11.com) — A young girl from north Minneapolis is spending her 11th birthday in the hospital after being struck by a car near 8th and Upton while delivering party invitations, renewing neighbors' calls for traffic calming on their block. Her mother describes serious injuries and vows to keep pressing the city for safer residential streets, with their council member pledging to discuss solutions.
4. Bandai Namco Cross Store & The Gundam Base's Openings at Mall of America Delayed (animenewsnetwork.com) — If you were planning a trip to the Mall of America for the new Bandai Namco Cross Store and Gundam Base, those openings in Minneapolis are now postponed with no new date set. The company says it will announce a rescheduled opening and more details later, following similar flagship locations launched in New York and Chicago.

INVESTIGATES: Minnesota AG sues Refocus Recovery, alleges 'sham' nonprofit funneled Medicaid money to for-profit Kyros (kare11.com) — Minnesota's attorney general, speaking from Minneapolis, is suing Refocus Recovery and founder Daniel Larson, alleging the nonprofit funneled Medicaid money to his for-profit addiction company Kyros. The lawsuit follows earlier investigations, claims the nonprofit was a sham pass-through, and seeks to dissolve Refocus, recover funds, and penalize Larson over alleged misuse of recovery dollars meant for vulnerable residents.
