When maps come up short and the path ahead is uncertain, how do we find our way? In her new book&nbsp;Climate Wayfinding, Dr. Katharine Wilkinson offers a compassionate and empowering guide for navigating through ache to action, doubt to possibility. We may be steeped in climate or newly curious. Either way, we can look inward with care, outward with curiosity, and forward with courage to shape our unique contributions.
Join us for a dynamic multimedia experience with Dr. Wilkinson. We will immerse ourselves in the wisdom of Climate Wayfinding and the beauty of poetry, film, art, and song. Amid kindred community, we will remember that each of us is a node of possibility for healing the climate crisis—whoever we are and whatever we’ve got to give.
This experience is free and open to all. &nbsp;- Doors open at 6:00 pm. &nbsp;- Participants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition <a href="https://www.bellmuseum.umn.edu/imagine-the-future/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Imagine the Future</a>,&nbsp; about the power we have to work together for a better future, and to visit with artists and local climate leaders to spark conversation and inspire climate journeys. The Bell’s Curiosity Shop will be open, and the University of Minnesota Bookstore will be on hand to sell books. &nbsp;- The program begins at 7:00 pm, and will be followed by a book signing with Dr. Wilkinson, participatory artmaking in a postcard activity, and time to connect with fellow climate-concerned neighbors.
 About the speaker
Dr. Katharine K. Wilkinson&nbsp;is a bestselling climate author, teacher, and creator. She has inspired hundreds of thousands of climate journeys through transformational projects that shift our cultural narratives about what’s possible and nurture engagement in renewing our world. Her publications include the forthcoming&nbsp;Climate Wayfinding, the bestselling anthology&nbsp;All We Can Save, and the&nbsp;New York Times&nbsp;bestseller&nbsp;Drawdown. Join us for a talk that takes a closer look at specific works in the exhibition “Modern Art and Politics in Germany 1910–1945: Masterworks from the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin.” These case studies include biographical information about the artists as well as stories about what happened to the works themselves between creation and joining the collection at the Neue Nationalgalerie.
Emily Evans is an art historian and longtime researcher on the collection at the Neue Nationalgalerie, the distinguished modern art museum and part of the National Gallery of the Berlin State Museums. Since November 2025, Evans has been responsible for digital documentation of the collection at the Hamburger Bahnhof, another branch of the National Gallery. Guest Speaker: Emily Evans: Case Studies from Modern Art and Politics in Germany 1910-1945

Look, play, and learn with your child at Mini Mia! This free program occurs on the first Wednesday of each month at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. and the first Friday of each month at 10:15 a.m.
Mini Mia features a gallery tour specially designed for caregivers and little ones (ages 0–5), a movement class, and a cozy story time. Try out close looking in the galleries and develop large and fine motor skills through movement. Make new friends and introduce your child to the wonders of art in a comfortable, kid-friendly setting.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and a front-facing carrier (if appropriate) for this program.
There’s a max of two children per caregiver. To ensure space to move, please bring no more than two adults per child. You may arrive up to 30 minutes early. Programs start promptly at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

During Black History Month, 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities and Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities Announce Partnership to Build the Next Generation of Black Leaders Minneapolis–St. Paul, MN — Feb. 10, 2026 — During Black History Month, 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities (100BMTC) and Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities (BBBSTC) announced a partnership to expand mentorship and leadership development for Black male youth across the Twin Cities. This partnership honors the legacy of Black leadership by increasing access to positive Black male role models and consistent developmental opportunities. BBBSTC currently has a waiting list of more than 600 youth, and due to high demand for male mentors, some young people wait more than two years for a match. In response, the organizations are mobilizing more Black men to serve as mentors while supporting youth through Jr. 100, a leadership initiative of 100BMTC that provides consistent engagement and exposure to Black leadership. “For more than sixty years, the 100 Black Men of America has affirmed that mentorship in the Black community is foundational,” said Kheph Rakhu, President of 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities. “Partnering with 100 Black Men Twin Cities reflects a shared commitment to showing up for Black youth with consistency and care,” said Pat Sukhum, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities. The partnership includes joint community events, coordinated storytelling, and the continued growth of the annual Black MENTors BBQ. About 100 Black Men of the Twin Cities Founded in 2020, 100BMTC is a 501(c)(3) youth development organization and a chapter of the national 100 Black Men of America, focused on mentoring, education, and leadership development.
