Charges Filed Against Two People in Last Night’s Homicide
December 20, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) Early this morning, the Minneapolis Police Detective assigned to the shooting and death from last night referred their case to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office for review and possible charging.

Today the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office issued the following Complaints:
- James Tyjuan Moore/DOB: 05/01/1998 – 2nd Degree Murder – With Intent – Not Premeditated and
- Tyreik Larel Perkins/DOB: 03/20/1999 – Aiding and Offender – Accomplice After the Fact
Both men are in custody at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.

Male Shooting Victim Drives From Scene and Crashes Two Blocks Later
December 19, 2019 (MINNEAPOLIS) The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the a shooting and death reported today.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Shotspotter and calls to 911 reported multiple gunshots in the area of 1800 Russell Ave N. A white SUV sped from the area and crashed near 1600 Russell Ave N.
Officers located an adult male who had been shot sitting in the driver’s seat of the crashed SUV. Officers rendered aid to the male until EMS crews arrived. The male was transported to North Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Minneapolis crime scene investigators processed the scene which includes the 1600 and 1800 blocks of Russell Ave N. Minneapolis homicide investigators are actively investigating the shooting.
The identity, along with the nature and cause of death for the deceased male will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office.
