Convicted Felon Found With Gun, Arrested

It is illegal for convicted felons to own firearms.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- A man was arrested Thursday morning by officers of Minneapolis' Second Precinct. The police initially pulled him over for a broken tail light.

The 23-year-old man was found to be driving on a revoked driver's license and driving without insurance. Officers impounded the vehicle, conducting a routine inventory of the vehicle.

Police found a loaded revolver in the vehicle while conducting the inventory. The man was found to be a convicted felon, prohibiting him from being in possession of the gun. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause weapons violations.
