Cooldown Incoming, Plus Lots Of Rain: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesotans should say their goodbyes to the spring warmth for now. Downpours and cool weather are on their way.

"Tuesday into Wednesday will be a wet period across the region," the National Weather Service said.

"Things will cool down beginning on Thursday and remain there through the weekend. Overnight lows are likely to dip below freezing for most locations."

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. East wind 10 to 15 mph.

Monday Night: A 10 percent chance of showers after 5am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 7am. High near 55. Breezy, with an east wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 49. Breezy, with an east wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
