Death Investigation Started After Early Morning Incident In Minneapolis

At 6:05 a.m. Saturday, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to the 900 block of 15th Ave SE on an unknown trouble call. Squads arrived to a chaotic scene and were advised that a male and female were involved. The victim, described as a white male in his 30s, was found in an apartment with a wound, the origin of which was unknown. He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance. The female, identified as Zara Jo Case, age 35, was transported to detox by the MPD.

With so much unknown in this case, detectives were called in to investigate. Later in the day, the Minneapolis Police Department was advised that the adult male in this case died at the hospital.
After preliminary investigation, detectives from the Minneapolis Police Department removed the case from detox and booked her into the Hennepin County Adult Detention on Probable Cause Murder. This case is still active.

The Minneapolis Crime Lab responded and processed the scene and collected evidence. The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the nature and cause of death, along with the identity of the decedent in the days to come.
